- Conner Smith is somewhat new to the game, but he’s already got his sights on being the best of the best. Smith was named one of Spotify's Hot Country Artist to Watch for 2022 and Amazon Music's 2022 Amazon Artist To Watch, but now he wants to get his songs to the top of the charts.
- In late 2021, Smith released a song called "I Hate Alabama", which went viral on TikTok, which led to him signing with Big Machine Records' Valory label. Smith released an EP for the label titled Didn't Go Too Far in 2022, and the lead single "Learn from It" has made the top 40 on Country Airplay. Now the singer is releasing “Take It Slow” with big hopes.
- Smith says that his biggest goal right now is “to ring the bell at country radio.” It’s a big goal for the newcomer, but he says he’s up for the challenge “I feel so confident in ‘Take It Slow.’ This song just feels special, it feels elevated and it feels like an introduction to who I am. So, a big goal for me is just ‘Take It Slow’ at country radio.”
