The Coachella and Stagecoach Festivals are both set to return to Indio, California this year, and organizers have just announced that all COVID protocols will be lifted for those attending.
Promoters Goldenvoice announced last fall that they wouldn’t require vaccinations for entry, and now they are getting rid of negative tests requirements and they will no longer require concertgoers to wear masks either.
While there has been no big statement from Goldenvoice, the Twitter account for Stagecoach, the country festival, publicized the change, tweeting, “Festival Admission Update: As we prepare to spend an incredible weekend in the desert together we are announcing that there will be no vaccination, testing or masking requirements at Stagecoach 2022, in accordance with local guidelines.”
Coachella reportedly only noted the changes in their “Health & Safety” rules page.
- Coachella, featuring headliners Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Kanye West, is set to take place April 15th to 17th, and April 22nd to 24th. Stagecoach, featuring headliners Thomas Rhett, Carrie Underwood and Luke Combs, takes place April 26th to May 1st.
