The Billboard Music Awards were handed out last night, and Chris Stapleton was one of the night’s big winners. Although he wasn't present (and the award weren't handed out on the telecast), Chris nabbed the big honor of Top Country Artist, as well as Top Male Artist and Top Country Album for “From A Room: Volume 1.” Sam Hunt won the only country award actually handed out on the show, nabbing Top Country Song for "Body Like A Back Road."
Other big winners of the night include Maren Morris, who took home Top Country Female Artist, Florida Georgia Line, who was named Top Country Duo/Group, and Luke Bryan who nabbed Top Country Tour.
While the night was filled with a slew of performances, the only country artist to perform was Maren, but she sang "The Middle," her pop collaboration with Zedd and Grey. Click here for a complete rundown of last night's show.
