Back in 2017, an all-star lineup of country music’s biggest names paid tribute to Kenny Rogers at Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena, and last night CBS aired highlights from the concert.

The special kicked off with Chris Stapleton performing Kenny's classic "The Gambler," with Kenny singing along from the side of the stage.  Other highlights included:  Lady A performed "She Believes In Me," Reba McEntire got the crowd up with "Rueben James,"  Little Big Town sang "Through The Years," Idina Menzel and Lady A's Charles Kelley collaborated on "We've Got Tonight," and Kenny's good buddy Lionel Richie performed "Lady," which he wrote for Kenny.

Kenny himself came out to join good friend Dolly Parton for “You Can’t Make Old Friends,” and was also on stage while she sang “I Will Always Love You” with her arm around him.  The show wrapped with the pair treating the audience for their hit duet “Islands in the Stream.”

Kenny passed away March 20th, 2020.
