Caylee Hammack Celebrates Being "Forged In Fire"

It's been a tough couple of years for Caylee Hammack but fortunately, she was able to take something her dad told her as a kid to help cope with stresses. He told her that "the most beautiful things are forged in fire."  It was a metaphor, of course, but when Caylee had watched her Nashville home go up in smoke, she realized she'd have to take his words literally.

In 2017, her house burned down while she was away on a songwriting retreat and she lost just about everything, except for a few song-inspiring pieces such as her grandmother’s quilt. She has chronicled her lessons from that catastrophe in a brand-new single "Forged in the Fire," one of 13 tracks on her debut album, If It Wasn't for You, that's set for release August 14.
