As we told you, strong tornados ripped through Nashville and the middle of Tennessee early Tuesday morning, with estimates saying at least 25 people lost their lives. Carrie Underwood was in New York promoting her book when the tornados hit, but let everyone know her family is fine.
“I think that's what everyone's doing right now is assessing [the damage]," she said during an appearance on “Today."And I'm texting people I know and I'm asking my husband 'Everybody's good?'”
As for her husband Mike Fisher and their two sons, she shares, “He said he had to go upstairs at 2 a.m. and take them down to the safe room. I was like, 'I bet everybody was crying.'"
- But Carrie was on “Today” to promote her book, “FIND YOUR PATH: Honor Your Body, Fuel Your Soul” and she admitted it was something that seemed to make sense for her to do, noting “I really love health and fitness. I geek out over articles, and trends and things like that.”
