Carrie Underwood Returns For “Sunday Night Football”

NBC’s “Sunday Night Football” kicked off last night, and as she has for the past eight years, Carrie Underwood kicked things off with her theme, “Waiting All Day For Sunday Night.” 

Ahead of the show, Carrie shared some behind-the-scenes footage of the making of the opening, noting that this year, because of the pandemic, they decided to let fans got to be a part of the segment. 

“I think people need Sunday Night football,” Carrie shares. “fans can all kinda unite for a few hours and they get to cheer on their favorite team,” adding, “We need that bit of normalcy even if we’re going about it in a slightly different way. Check out the new opening to the right.
