Carly Pearce is nominated for two CMA Awards including Female Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for "29," and she was certainly excited when she first heard the news.
Carly says she was in bed when the nominations were announced, and when her manager called her with the news “I squealed so loud that I scared my puppy June to death.”
This is Carly’s first nomination for Album of the Year, and she’s the only female in the category. She says the nod “means everything,” especially since, “when I started that season of my life felt so overwhelming that I kinda wanted to crawl in a hole and die.”
“I have wanted to see my name in these categories forever,” Carly says of her nods. “This is really, I’m not just saying this, but this is the things that as a little girl I dreamt of and I’m just so happy."
