Brothers Osborne’s newly released record “Port Saint Joe” features the love ballad “A Little Bit Trouble,” but the version of the record is a little different than the one they initially recorded. Seems, the change came after Keith Urban released his hit “Blue Ain’t Your Color,” with TJ Osborne telling “Rolling Stone" their original version had “the same melody.”
“We were in the studio and had to change it,” TJ shares. “We tried umpteen different melodies, but it sounded like we were trying to change it. And that melody was great, which is why it was a huge hit for that other song. We hadn't heard ["Blue Ain't Your Color"] until it came out and we knew we had to change it or people were going to accuse us of ripping it off."
It was their producer Jay Joyce who came up with the solution, with TJ noting, “I loved it. And it was awesome the way it turned out. That's flying by the seat of your pants in the studio.”
