Brett Young’s latest video, for his song “Lady,” features beautiful footage of his wife and daughter Presley at the beach. And it turns out, none of it would have gotten filmed if it wasn’t for his good friend.

Brett says that when they wanted to film the video the family was quarantining in Palm Dessert, and folks were getting find $1,000 if they stepped outside without a mask. Knowing the needed a video, Brett asked his friend a Seth Coopersmith, who also directed the “Catch” video, to come down and shoot some footage, but there was a catch.

“I said, ‘Seth, this is gonna sound ridiculous, but you’re coming from Oregon. I can’t have you on a flight. I need you to drive, so it’s gonna be 17 hours, and I need you to shoot it all by yourself,’” Brett explains, noting that Seth was more than happy to make the trip and shot the video with one camera and a drone.

“And it’s one of the most special things,” Brett says of the clip. "It’s like a home video on steroids. Nobody will ever have home movies like that. And so, it’s really special. It’s something we’ll never forget.”
