Brandon Lay is tackling one of Trisha Yearwood’s classic songs. The singer just released a cover of Trisha’s 1992 hit “Walkaway Joe.”
As for why he covered it, Brandon explains, “I think it’s one of those songs that’s gonna be around that my son will discover when he’s 20 and will still love,” adding, “the melody is great. The storyline is great, and I think it’s just so relatable.”
Brandon notes, “I wanted to do the song justice in my way and hope people dig it because I think that song deserves as much attention as it can get.” Check it out to the right.
