Brandi Carlile shared a cover of a classic tune that seems pretty fitting considering what’s going on in the world today. The singer shared her take on Tears For Fears’ 1983 track “Mad World” during a recent livestream.
“It’s a mad world, but we’re in this together,” she said after the song. “Vote.”
And it seems the song’s originators are pretty impressed with the tune. Tears For Fears’ Curt Smith shared the cover, adding the comment “I approve of this tweet.”
