Friday, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton debuted a new song, "Purple Irises." Since the song premiered Friday, the first time any fans would get a chance to see the two perform the track live was not until...two days later.
The pair performed on the TikTok Tailgate Stage at Las Vegas' Allegiant Stadium before the official kickoff time of Super Bowl LVIII. Of course, during the performance, they took the opportunity to debut the song in front of a crowd of adoring fans. While the couple's two previous duets both hit the top of the country charts, this song is a little less "Blake" and a little more "Gwen," meaning more pop/rock than country. Where it will land - pop radio or country radio (or both) - remains to be seen. The song also is reportedly part of Gwen's next project, with Blake supplying guest vocals on the track.
