Jelly Roll is successful now, but he's come up the hard way, spending time in jail as a result. He knows that a lot of people behind bars screwed up and, with a second chance, can put their lives on the right track. He did it, and while you don't have to be a music star to straighten things out, a push in the right direction goes a long way.

Jelly and partner Jerry Gift Jr. grew up in the same neighborhood, and have "been in and out of jail, been through it all together," Jelly explains. When Gift came up with the idea for a food truck, Jelly was all-in. "Of course, we did it, and our mission statement was, we only hire second-chance guys," Jelly says. "Every other place in the world is like, 'If you got a felony, you can't work here.' We're only hiring felons. They run the food truck and come out on tour with us some nights."

The truck is celebrating its one-year anniversary this summer. While it usually does its business in Antioch Tennessee, fans can sometimes find the truck wherever Jelly Roll happens to be playing that night.
