Thomas Rhett made a surprise appearance at dad Rhett Akins' annual Tin Pan South songwriters show at 3rd and Lindsley earlier this week, and treated the crowd to a pretty special track.
In addition to singing his hits like “Marry Me” “Star of the Show” and “It Goes Like This,” the pair performed the first song they ever wrote together, which was penned when Thomas was just seven years old. Check out the song to the right.
- Meanwhile, Thomas will be singing on a much bigger stage starting tonight. He kicks off his “Life Changes Tour,” featuring Brett Young and Midland, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Thomas just posted an adorable video of daugher Willa reminding fans about the tour, but apparnetly she's not looking forward to it. When Thomas tells her to let everyone know it's going to be "fun," she replies, "nope." Check it out to the right.
- ONE MORE THING! While Thomas certainly loves getting compliments about his show from fans, he particularly likes hearing from moms who say things like “We love how you and Lauren are stand up people.” Thomas realizes his shows can “get rowdy,” but he says he tries to watch his mouth so he is a “good role model” for kids at his concerts. He notes, “in the midst of the rowdiness I just want to be like a good figure for them.”
