Thomas Rhett On The Meaning Behind “Remember You Young”

Thomas Rhett’s latest single “Remember You Young” just hit country radio, although fans have already been loving it out on the road. Thomas says the tune, “is a song that’s really just about envisioning all your favorite people in your life in their prime,” although he notes, “that prime could mean a lot of different things.”
For Thomas, high school seems to be one of those “prime” years, noting, “looking at my best friends today, in our almost thirties with kids and married, I will always see them as dumb high school kids.” And while he’s known his wife since they were kids, he says he’ll "always envision Lauren in high school as well.”
And when it comes to his daughters, now is the prime moment for Thomas. He notes, “my babies, no matter how old they get, I’ll always see them at three and one for some reason.”
