Stars Come Out For The 14th Annual ACM Honors

The 14th annual ACM Honors went down this week at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium with Luke Combs, Dan + Shay, Loretta Lynn, Rascal Flatts and more among this year’s honorees, and several big-name stars on hand to pay tribute to them. 

Among the tributes:

  • Carly Pearce, the night’s host, performed her new song “Dear Miss Loretta" in tribute to legend Loretta Lynn, who was honored with one of the night’s three Poet Awards. Lee Ann Womack and Alan Jackson also paid tribute to her with a performance of “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man.”
  • Dan + Shay, this year’s Reeves International Award honorees, were honored with a medley of their hits “Speechless,” “Tequilla” and “10,000 Hours,” by songwriters Jessie Jo Dillon, Jorgan Reynolds, Laura Veltz and Nicolle Galyon.
  • Hardy, Lauren Alaina and Devin Dawson performed “One Beer,” in honor of this year’s Songwriter of the Year Hillary Lindsey.
  • Toby Keith was honored with the Merle Haggard Spirit Award, with Trace Adkins on hand to perform “Love Me If You Can.”
  • Rascal Flatts were this year’s recipient of the ACM Cliffie Stone Icon Award, with Carly returning to perform “Bless the Broken Road,” Caylee Hammack performing “My Wish," and Raelynn performing “Life is a Highway.”
  • Sam Williams, son of Hank Williams, Jr. who was in attendance, performed his grandfather Hank Sr.’s song “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” in celebration of Ken Burns’ docuseries "Country Music” earning the Tex Ritter Film Award.
  • Lady A and Ross Copperman were honored for their philanthropic efforts with the ACM Gary Haber Lifting Lives Award, with Lady A on hand to perform their new song “What A Song Can Do,” and Keith Urban honoring Copperman with a performance of “John Cougar, John Deere, John 3:16,” which they co-wrote together.
  • Luke Combs earned the Gene Weed Milestone Award, with Ashley McBryde closing the evening with a performance of his “She Got The Best Of Me,” which was also dedicated to the late ACM executive Lisa Lee, who died last week 
  • “Thanks to country music fans … (they're) the reason I get to do what I love to do," Luke said in his speech, "That is not lost on me, a boy from North Carolina who moved here in 2014, standing in the Ryman freakin' Auditorium, holdin' a milestone award.”

The 14th Annual ACM Honors will air on Circle TV November 23rd at 8 pm.
