Maren Morris left country music - and then left her husband, Ryan Hurd. The news came as a shock to most fans, but perhaps none were so shocked as Ryan himself.
Sources have told "US Magazine" that Ryan never saw it coming. As for what led to the pair’s split, the insider tells the mag that Morris and Hurd are “opposites,” which could have proven “difficult” in their relationship.
Adding to the surprise: when Maren took the big step to announce she was leaving country music, Ryan was her quickest and staunchest defender, saying on social media that "She deserves to be celebrated, not just tolerated." Two weeks after that post, Maren had filed for divorce. Since then, she's been spotted multiple times without her wedding ring. Neither party has yet spoken publicly about the split since the news broke.
