Keith Urban admits that he’s having some difficulties while under quarantine, noting his “artistic confidence” is hurting without being able to perform.
“I discovered that I derive too much of my artistic confidence from playing live and being in the studio,” he shares, “and when those two things got taken out from under me, it affected my center as a creative person, so I had to figure my way back to that creative place with confidence. That took a little while.”
In fact, not being able to tour hit Keith so hard he compares his reaction to one of Jim Carrey's film characters. “Remember Jim Carrey's character in ‘Dumb and Dumber’ in the bathroom stall when he's sucking his thumb, quivering in the corner. That's about what I felt like for the first two weeks of this whole thing," he explains. “Trying to keep being creative in this new singular realm was a bit of a turn for me.”
- ONE MORE THING! Keith just shared a behind-the-scenes look at the making of his latest video, for the single "Polaroid." Check it out to the right.
