Kacey Musgraves has made “Variety’s” Power of Women list, and as part of the honor she has chosen the GRAMMY Museum as her charity, because, she notes, “Music education has long been an interest of mine.”

She notes, “Especially coming from a very small town in Texas where I’ve seen firsthand that that is the first department to take a hit when there are budget cuts, I know there are so many kids that have such raw talent that needs to be nourished.”

Kacey says she recently got a chance to visit the museum’s Dolly Parton exhibit, and adds that getting her own exhibit would be on her “bucket list.” In the meantime, Kacey will just have to settle for her upcoming Country Music Hall of Fame exhibit, which is set to open this summer, and it sounds like it may be quite interesting.

I just went home and made sure to pull out some really embarrassing photos for that,” she says. I have definitely always had my own idea of style, and sometimes it did not serve me well.”
