Morgan Wallen Tops RIAA’s 2021 Gold & Platinum Certifications

Despite the controversy that surrounded the video of him saying a racial slur, Morgan Wallen's "Dangerous: The Double Album" sold like gangbusters this year, and it did so well that it tops the RIAA’s 2021 gold and platinum awards.
Overall, 16 albums and 98 singles released this year earned gold or platinum status, with Morgan's album certified two-times platinum.
Meanwhile, Dan + Shay's latest also earned a big certification. "Good Things" was certified Gold for sales of 500,000 units.
