Mackenzie Porter Drops New Track, "Bet You Break My Heart": Canadian country star Mackenzie Porter is looking to repeat her success on the US country chart. Her duet with Dustin Lynch, "Thinking 'Bout You," went all the way to #1 in 2021 but while she's scored several #1's in her native Canada, she's had little success in the US outside the Lynch duet. Her latest single looks to break that solo losing streak. "Bet You Break My Heart" is written by several big Nashville songwriters (Mark Holman, who wrote Cole Swindell’s “Single Saturday Night"), Chris Tompkins (Carrie Underwood’s “Before He Cheats” & “Blown Away”), and Travis Wood (Morgan Wallen’s “’98 Braves,”) and produced by one of the hottest studio hands in the business, Joey Moi.
Midland Is Back Covering Glen Campbell On "Wichita Lineman": Midland made a name for themselves as being the perfect blend of contemporary and retro - but it's been a minute since we've heard new music from the band. After scoring three Top 20 hits off their debut album, things have been kinda quiet for the Texas band. It makes sense that their latest effort isn't just retro sounding, but retro everything. The band has just released their cover version of Jimmy Webb's "Wichita Lineman," made famous by Glen Campbell in 1968. "It’s haunting melodies and lush arrangements hark back to a time when music was more sophisticated and the stories more colorful…a notion that has inspired and continues to influence our sound and songwriting,” says the band's Mark Wystrach.
Joe Nichols Goes Traditional Christmas With "O Come, All Ye Faithful": There are fun Christmas songs, traditional Christmas songs and more spiritual Christmas songs. Joe Nichols has put out one of the most spiritual of all holiday songs with his version of "O Come, All Ye Faithful." "'O Come, All Ye Faithful' has always been one of my favorite Christmas songs,” says Nichols, "mainly because of its spiritual, powerful, and reverential meaning."
Three Iconic 90's Voices Join Together To Form "The Frontmen": Three of the lead singers for some of the 80's and 90's biggest country bands united just before COVID to form a new band, blending their iconic voices. "The Frontmen" features Larry Stewart (Restless Heart), Tim Rushlow (Little Texas) and Richie McDonald (Lonestar). The trio have put out a new EP, "Familiar Faces," featuring six tracks: one re-recorded track from each of their respective bands, along with three new songs.
