Jackson Dean Releases Updated "Fearless (The Arrow)": Even though his song "Fearless" is steadily climbing the country charts, Jackson Dean must have felt there was more that could be done with the track. He jumped on Instagram over the weekend to explain to fans the thought process behind the newly-released and slightly different version of the tune, "Fearless (The Arrow)." Saying they had first recorded a version of the song that was "a little too hot to handle," Dean felt that version needed to see the light of day. "We took it in the studio, did some other things to it, took the high-hats out in the first chorus and made some things out of some other guitar parts...it's like a different perspective on it...musically."
Hailey Whitters Unboxes Her Very First ACM Award: Who knew that when you win an ACM Award, it actually shows up at your front door like something from Amazon? The 2023 ACM Awards were held back in May, but apparently they don't give you your actual award, they ship it to you - several months later. Hailey Whitters won the 2023 ACM Award for Best new Female Artist, and she posted a clip on Instagram of when she received the award. "let's see what we got here," she mused as she opened a big box from "Society Awards." "Oh my gosh! Is this...the ACM???" It was, accompanied by a certificate congratulating her. When she unwrapped the trophy, she exclaimed, "It's heavy!...I'm just gonna walk around with this thing from here on out!"
Riley Green Posts Song He Wrote Just Last Week: One of the cool things about being a music fan in 2024 is, with most artists, you don't have to wait years between albums to hear new music from your favorites - one of social media's big positives. Many artists post unreleased tracks, live performances or works-in-progress to keep fans engaged. Riley Green is one of those artists. He posted an acoustic performance of a song he says he wrote just last week. "Wrote this song a couple nights ago… You never know what someone else has been through in their life. Hope y’all like it. Don’t mind the rain on the tin roof in the background. #countrymusic #icouldntfitthatonasign #sign #weouthere #rainonatinroof #sadcountrysongs #jesussaves" So, though he never mentions the title, by the hashtags it seems the song is called "I Couldn't Fit That On A Sign."
Gabby Barrett Drops New Song She Wrote With Miranda Lambert: Gabby Barrett chose some powerful friends to help her write her latest tune. In-demand Nashville songwriter Hillary Lindsey and Miranda Lambert helped Gabby write "You're My Texas," one of the new songs from her upcoming sophomore album "Chapter & Verse," which comes out February 2.
Mitchell Tenpenny Teases New Song On Instagram: It seems like a lot of country artists were feeling creative over the holidays. One of the many who have posted new or unreleased songs on their socials recently is Mitchell Tenpenny, who put a song clip up for fans over the weekend. "Thinking about dropping this new one soon. What do y’all think?? Presave in my bio," he captioned the audio clip of a song called "Breaking My Heart." Sounds like he's already made up his mind to put out the fully-produced clip, if he's already offering up pre-save info.
Dylan Scott Says He's 2/3 Of The Way To A Perfect Day: Dylan Scott was pretty pumped Saturday. In an Instagram clip from his vehicle, the country star explained why the day was shaping up to be pretty awesome. "Let me tell y'all something - I'm so fired up right now," he begins. "One - my wife gave me permission to go hunting today. Two - got Taco Bell on the way to the stand, at this point I don't even care if I kill a buck, but if I do, I will strip down naked and run across the whole state of Tennessee, I would be so ecstatic because my deer season has sucked, and that'd be the trifecta for the day. Permission to go hunting from the wife? Taco Bell? AND a buck? Come on!" Fortunately for us - but maybe not so much for Dylan - we got an update later in the day in a follow-up post. "Update: no deer, so we ain't runnin' naked tonight."
New Year, New Single From Sawyer Brown: Sawyer Brown keeps releasing new tracks from their upcoming album "Desperado Troubadours." The third release from the project continues to show that the long-running band hasn't lost a step over the years, sounding as fresh as ever. The full album, produced by confessed superfan Blake Shelton, comes out March 8.
Jon Pardi And Wife Expecting Baby #2: Congratulations to Jon Pardi and wife Summer - who announced on their socials yesterday that their family is about to expand by one! "Good thing we have that extra guest room," Summer wrote in the caption of her post. "We can't wait to fill this home with all the love from our little family of four." The couple's pregnancy announcement featured their daughter Presley, as well as the building site of their new house. In the video post, the family walks through the construction site, with baby Presley holding (and nibbling on) a sonogram.
