Miranda Lambert Didn't Like Ashley Monroe At First

Sometimes it takes people a little while to warm up to someone. That's what happened with Pistol Annies' Ashley Monroe and Miranda Lambert. In a new episode of the podcast "Walking The Floor," Ashley admits Miranda had a petty grudge against her in the very beginning.
“At first, she didn’t like me because I was another blond girl singer,” Ashley says. They both shared a record label home in the early 2000s. “But then she liked my songs, so we became friends."
Speaking of songs, the Pistol Annies are getting to release a new album in the fall and Ashley thinks fans will really dig it. “This [upcoming Annies] record more than ever, we are just in constant communication about the music," she explains. "All three of us have very distinctive sounds, but we’re all fans of each other."
