Luke Combs Honored To Play For Our Military During Golf Tournament

Earlier this week, Luke Combs performed at the Military Appreciation Day Ceremony and Concert as part of THE PLAYERS Championship at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte-Vedra Beach, Florida, and he was more than happy to take part in the event.

“We always love getting to do stuff like this,” Luke tells “Billboard.” “It’s always cool to be able to give back a little bit in the ways that we can. We’ve got some beautiful weather down here, and we’re excited.” 

And he was particularly glad to be able to honor our military during his show. “Both of my grandfathers were in the service. It’s one of those things that you can’t be thankful enough for,” he shares. “It’s an honor that we were even asked to come down here and represent the troops at this event, and let them know we appreciate them and are thinking about them.” 

• One thing Luke didn’t do while in Florida is play any golf though. “I’m a horrendous golfer, though I do enjoy it," he explains. "The temptation is there, but I don’t want to mess the grass up."
