As we usher in October tomorrow, many people already have the holidays on the brain, specifically holiday travel. Now’s about the time folks start making their holiday travel plans, and a new report offers up some advice on booking, and reveals where most people are going. 

The new Expedia report notes:

• The most expensive holiday travel dates are the Wednesday before Thanksgiving (November 24^th), and Thursday, December 23^rd. Also quite pricey will be Tuesday, December 28^th.
• To save money, try shifting your travel to the week before or after each holiday.
• Also a trip between holidays, such as December 6^th to 17^th, could save you over 10%.
• Traveling on Thanksgiving or Christmas Day could also be cheaper. 

So, what are the most popular travel destinations for the 2021 holiday season?

• Well, for Thanksgiving, Cancun is the most searched destination, while Orlando, Florida is tops for Christmas.
