Kathy Mattea new host of “Mountain Stage”: Kathy Mattea has been tapped to host NPR Music and West Virginia Public Broadcasting’s “Mountain Stage,” which has been on public radio for nearly 40 years. Kathy has appeared on the show as guest more than any other female artist. She takes over from co-founder Larry Groce, who has hosted since the show launched in 1983.
