Justin Moore recently released the new single “The Ones Who Didn’t Make It Back Home,” which he co-wrote with Paul Digiovanni, Jeremy Stover and Chase McGill.
The song tells of a soldier who lost his life serving our country, and the themes in the song are something very near and dear to him. Before singing “If Heaven Wasn’t So Far Away” in concert he usually pays tribute the folks who sacrifice their lives to protect our country, telling fans “Here’s to the ones that didn’t make it back home.”
Well, one one day realized he should write a song about it. He notes, “it just hit me like a ton of bricks one night on stage, and I just randomly had songwriters out with me writing that weekend.”
“The Ones Who Didn’t Make It Back Home” is the first single off Justin’s upcoming fifth album which is due out next year.
