Back in April Jordan Davis returned to his hometown of Shreveport, Louisiana for his first hometown show since signing a record deal, and he’s sharing the experience with a new video that was just released.
In the clip, Jordan pays a visit to the local Elks Lodge, where he’ll be playing a benefit show to raise $90,000 for a new swimming pool in the town.
“Shreveport means so much to me and was a huge inspiration for my songwriting,” Jordan tells “Billboard.” “I’m excited to show people where I grew up and all of my favorite spots back home.”
Jordan, who named his album “Home State,” in honor of Shreveport, adds, “This album has done better than I could have ever imagined and allowed me to pursue my dream of making music. I’m very grateful to my family and friends in Shreveport who helped make that happen and supported me along the journey.” Check out the video to the right.
