This was another big weekend for new country music, with several artists releasing new tunes.
- Jordan Davis dropped the new song “Almost Maybes,” the first song from his upcoming self-titled EP, which drops May 22nd. “This is one that feels universal. For the few things in life that do fall into place and work out; there are a lot more that don’t,” Jordan shares of the song, which he wrote alongside Hillary Lindsey and Jesse Frasure. “This is for those times, the ‘almost maybes.’” Check it out to the right.
- Danielle Bradbery shared the new song “Never Have I Ever,” which she co-wrote with Laura Veltz and David Hall Hodges. “When writing this song, we wanted to capture that feeling where you’re in a new relationship and you’re terrified of the intense feelings you have, but you’re so excited at the same time,” she explains. “We really tried to put that whirlwind of emotions into words. It’s honest and vulnerable, and I can’t wait for everyone to hear it.” Check it out to the right.
- Cory Crowder just debuted the new tune “My Poor Mama,” with him singing about putting his poor mother “through hell,” and calling her “a saint.” He says of the tune, “Sometimes, as a writer, your favorite songs never get recorded. So I’ve decided to start recording them.” Check it out to the right.
