Tuesday night was a big career night for Jon Pardi, as the country singer was welcomed into the Grand Ole Opry officially during his performance.

Doing the honors: country legend Garth Brooks, who joined Pardi in the hallowed circle to present Pardi with the official Opry award. "This is me and you joined in holy matrimony shared by our love of country music," Garth said to an obviously surprised Pardi. "It’s full circle to watch my hero, from flying around an arena in concert to right now," Pardi said. "I love the Opry and being a part of its family. The future is so bright."

For fans who were unable to be on hand for the big moment, they can watch Pardi's Opry induction and performance as a part of "Opry Live" on November 18th on the Opry's television broadcast home, Circle Network, Circle All Access Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.

  • While that's the (very) good news for Pardi, he's got some bad news for fans: he's having to postpone some upcoming shows due to strep throat. The singer sounded pretty rough as he took to Twitter/X to break the bad news to fans. "...I'm going to have to postpone. I have come down with strep throat; I thought it was allergies and such but a doctor says it's strep throat and I don't feel well. I wanna be 100% for you guys and I can't do that this weekend - I have to rest, so I apologize from the bottom of my heart. I hate it." He went on to say it was just a postponement and that fans should hold on to their tickets as he intends to make the shows up.
