The Estate of Johnny Cash is not happy with an Illinois wedding venue trying to cash in on the Man in Black’s name.

In case you missed it, the John R. Cash Revocable Trust is suing the Johnny & June’s Reception Hall and Entertainment Venue, along with the owners, Dustin Smith and Kathy Smith, accusing them of using the singer and his wife’s likeness without permission.

“Defendants are using the name 'Johnny & June’s,' prominently-displayed images of Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash in the Venue, and the Johnny Cash song lyrics in their online marketing,” the suit reads. The Estate says that while it “appreciates the Defendant’s affinity toward the Cash family, their love story, and country music,” it is their responsibility to make sure the legendary entertainers likenesses are “are not used in a manner that is likely to cause confusion or mistake in the marketplace.”

They argue the venue is using Cash’s image to promote their business, and hasn’t stopped despite cease and desist orders.
