Lauren Alaina has teamed with Jamie O’Neal for a new take on one of Jamie’s biggest hits. The pair just released “There Is No Arizona 2.0,” in celebration of the song’s 20th anniversary.
This isn’t the first time they’ve performed the song together though. They previously collaborated on the track last year for “ACM Lifting Lives: Decades.”
“I have loved Lauren’s voice since she was on ‘Idol’ and when I was asked to do the ACMs last year for their pre-show where they paired newer artists with past ACM winners, I immediately thought 'I want Lauren Alaina!'" Jamie tells “People.” "Once I sang it with her...bingo! I just had to record it with her this year for the 20th anniversary of the song. Man, that girl can saaang!"
Lauren adds, “When she asked me to sing on a new version of the song with her, I jumped at the chance," noting, "I’m so proud to be a part of such an iconic country song."
The new version of the song is set to appear on Jamie’s upcoming album, “Sometimes,” which drops October 16th.
