Jameson Rodgers Addresses “Terrifying” Incident At Mississippi Show

Jameson Rodgers headlined Batesville, Mississippi’s Springfest this weekend, which ended with one person hospitalized after gunfire broke out, causing Jameson to cut his show short.  The singer took to Facebook to address the incident, sharing he was “still processing” what happened.

“First off, I just wanna say prayers to everybody that was involved in ... whatever happened last night,” he said, noting that he didn’t think the shooting was directly connected to the festival, but added, “it was very scary for a lot of people, and myself included, and the band and guys,” adding, “I'm sorry. That was pretty terrifying."

Jameson said that the show as actually "my favorite show of all time," and went on to thank his fans, offering, “Man, the support that y'all have shown me over the years is just, it's overwhelming. I was emotional onstage all night.” 

  • According to reports, the victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was in critical condition. Cops actually apologized to Jameson, who is from the area, sharing, “The incident that happened had nothing to do with all of the family, friends and fans that came to support your homecoming.”
