George Strait Heartbroken Over Death Of His Longtime Drummer

George Strait has taken to social media following the death of his longtime drummer, Michael Kennedy, to issue a statement about how much Michael meant to him, the band and the fans. As would be expected, the superstar notes it is difficult to articulate the depth of such a loss.
Michael had played with George since 1987 and a host of other musicians including, Jamey Johnson, Bill Anderson, Ricky Skaggs, Barbara Fairchild and more.
Authorities say Michael's vehicle collided tractor-trailer, which then hit a pickup truck. No one else was injured.
