As we told you, Garth Brooks is the latest country star set to open a bar and restaurant in Nashville, and he’s expecting his place to stand out from the others on Lower Broadway.
"I want the Chick-fil-A of honky-tonks," Garth shared at a recent press conference. "I want a place where you go, where you feel good, feel safe and everybody’s got good manners."
As you can imagine, the venue will be centered around country music. “I'd love it to just be a classic honky-tonk," Garth says. "I'm hoping [it's] a thumping place that always looks like there's something crazy going on in there,” noting, “When you walk in, I hope it's country music that you hear."
So far there’s no word on when Garth’s place will open.
ONE MORE THING! As we told you, Garth headlined two nights at Nashville’s Nissan Stadium this weekend, and during his Saturday night show he had the pleasure of singing a duet with seven-year-old fan named Charles. Garth spotted Charles in the audience holding up a first sign indicating that it was his first-ever concert. Garth autographed his sign and then asked Charles if he could sing, and he said he’s been practicing "Standing Outside the Fire." Garth then handed him a mic and they sang the tune together.
