Garth Brooks restarted his Stadium Tour last month, but now he’s thinking twice about it due to the latest COVID resurgence.

While Garth’s next two shows, Saturday at Kansas City’s Arrowhead Stadium and August 14th at Memorial Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska, are expected to go on as planned, tickets for his September 4th show at Washington’s Lumen Field will no longer go on sale Friday.

“It breaks my heart to see city after city go on sale and then have to ask those sweet people and the venues to reschedule,” Garth said. “We have a three-week window coming up where we, as a group, will assess the remainder of the stadium tour this year.” He adds, “It’s humbling to see people put this much faith in you as an artist, and it kills me to think I am letting them down.”

  • Meanwhile, as for Saturday’s show, while it is outside, Garth has been encouraging his fans to mask up. At his Nashville show, that had to be canceled this past weekend because of weather, he aired a video asking his audience to respect anyone who chooses to wear a mask. He also expressed the same feelings during his Facebook Live series Inside Studio G.
  • “Follow all the rules, make your own rules up too. You can’t be safe enough. You can’t be cautious enough. Keep your space. Keep your distance,” he said. “Please feel free to wear the masks at the concert. Nobody is going to look at you strange, I promise.”
