Florida Georgia Line gave their latest album the name “Can’t Say I Ain’t Country,” but Brian Kelley insists it wasn’t meant as a defiant message to haters.
“It’s not necessarily a fire back or a rebuttal or an answer it’s just very necessary for us to put that out there,” Brian notes. “That’s who we are, that’s who we were, that’s who we’ll always be.”
Brian insists the album is their “most country record, probably, for sure, thus far,” although he does admit, “our influences are kind of running through everything.”
In the end, Brian shares that their goal is to keep pushing themselves with each album. He explains, “No artist should ever repeat themselves and make the same record twice or you’re going backwards.”
