Faith Hill’s acting career seems to be taking off thanks to the “Yellowstone” prequel “1883,” and in a new interview she reveals that had other chances to play some big characters, including one iconic role on Broadway.

Talking to the “Just For Variety” podcast, Faith says she almost played Mary Poppins on the Great White Way, but the scheduling just didn’t work out.

“Everyone calls me Mary Poppins. My kids do because, honey, when I go traveling, I got that bag and I pull stuff out and I go, ‘Shoot, I didn’t realize that bag held so much,’” Faith shares. “I pack for the apocalypse when we’re traveling, when we’re road tripping. But that’s not why I wanted do Mary Poppins. It’s a great story. It just wasn’t the right time.”

Faith also opened up about her trepidation filming the sexy bathtub scene in “1883,” and apparently while she had some concerns, Tim was all for it.

“That was tough, although [the crew] made it comfortable. (Creator) Taylor (Sheridan) made it comfortable for us — well, for me,” she shares. “Tim was like, ‘Let’s do it. Yeah. Jump in. I’m ready to go. Don’t need to cover that up. Just let everybody see.’”
