Eric Church Says “We Were” Fits Keith Urban More Than Him

Keith Urban didn’t know his new single “We Were” was co-written by Eric Church until after he recorded it, and it sounds like Eric really loves that it happened that way.
“That was the coolest thing for me is I didn’t send Keith the song and say, ‘Here’s a song I wrote,’” Eric shares. “He found it, and honestly, it fits him more than it fits me.”
Eric adds, “I truly believe songs find the path that they’re supposed to find, and that one was supposed to be with him,” noting, “I love hearing it on the radio. It’s fun for me.”
