This was a big weekend for new country music, with several artists releasing new tunes.

  • Eric Church shared the new song “Crazyland,” which he wrote with Luke Laird and Michael Heeney. The song is the latest tune Eric has shared from what he described as nearly month-long writing session in rural North Carolina. During that time he wrote and recorded a song from start to finish each day. It follows previously shared tunes “Stick That In Your Country Song” and “Bad Mother Trucker.”
  • Carrie Underwood has shared the first holiday song off her upcoming album “My Gift,” which drops September 25th. The first taste of the record is an original tune, “Let There Be Peace,” which she co-wrote with longtime collaborators Brett James and David Garcia. Check it out to the right.
  • Songwriter Brent Cobb has some definite thoughts about people who insist artists shouldn’t talk about politics or social issues. He answers those folks in his new tune “Shut Up And Sing.” In describing the tune he notes, “Anything I have to say about the song will hopefully speak for itself. So, I’ll just shut up and sing…” The tune will be features on his upcoming album “Keep ‘Em On They Toes,” which drops October 2nd
