Dierks Bentley is planning to celebrate women during his upcoming ACM performance of his latest single “Woman, Amen"

“I think it helps counter out some of the other songs I have had out there,” Bentley says of the tune. “‘Woman, Amen’ is hopefully really tipping the scales back into more of a level playing field. I am definitely guilty of some songs just to party to.”

Dierks' performance will be shaped by his fans. He’s asked them to submit photos of the female heroes in their lives, and select images will be displayed on the screen during his performance. And it seems fans are really came through, with Dierks saying his wife Cassidy has been pretty touched by all the submissions.

“It’s a song about celebrating a woman in my life and several women in my life,” he says. “I love seeing a song that’s very personal to me, that’s concrete and identifiable be taken by fans and they can use it in a way that’s universal to them.”

The 53rd Annual ACM Awards, hosted by Reba McEntire, will air April 15th live on CBS from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

  • ONE MORE THING! Dierks is expected to announce some big news today, and recently shared a new, somewhat racy, tease, with fans. The singer posted video of himself stripping down to his skivvies, and wading into a stream. He captioned it, “I think this is gonna be the spot.” Check it out on Facebook.
