Dan + Shay stopped by “Sunday Today” to discuss their new album “Good Things,” and more.
The duo admit they felt pressure when making their new album, although Shay Mooney insists “there definitely was pressure but it was good pressure,” noting, “it was like man, we really have to make sure we’re bringing our A-game."
The pair wrote and recorded the album mostly during the pandemic, with Dan Smyers saying it was actually “good for us,” noting it made them “go back to the basics," with Shay adding that it was something that helped them both "cope" with what was going on.
- The duo is set to re-launch their Arena tour this week. They originally got to play three shows of the tour before everything shut down due to the pandemic. "Just to say we were about to do arenas and then it was pulled out from under us," Shay shares, "Just being able to say that is incredible." Dan adds, "I think it just causes us to appreciate the moments a little bit more."
