As we told you, Dan + Shay won the GRAMMY for Best Duo/Group performance for “10,000 Hours,” featuring Justin Bieber, and it turns out the win made GRAMMY history, since it was their third straight year taking home the trophy in that category.

"Every year winning a GRAMMY is like the coolest thing in the entire world,” Dan Smyers tells “People.” “We dreamed of this our entire lives and you never take it for granted, but this year I feel like it's extra special.”

Dan says not being on the road this year has been particuarlly hard because they haven’t been able to “feel the connection” with fans. He adds, “So to be acknowledged by our peers and the Recording Academy like this — to have tangible evidence of the success and the connection of that song — is really cool. It made us feel really good." Check out the pair’s reaction to their win to the right.

  • Dan + Shay previously won the Duo/Group performance GRAMMY for “Tequila” in 2019 and “Speechless” in 2020.
