Clay Walker To Release New Song Co-Written By Toby Keith: Clay Walker has announced that his next single will be one co-written by Toby Keith. The song, "I Know She Hung The Moon," was written by Keith along with frequent collaborator Scotty Emerick and is set to be released April 5. Toby shared the song with Clay at the Toby Keith and Friends Golf Classic in 2021. Clay loved the tune and recorded it in December, and with Toby’s recent passing, he hopes to honor his legacy by releasing the finished track. Walker plans to release new music throughout 2024 and will return to the Grand Ole Opry this Friday, where fans in attendance may get a chance to hear the new song live.
Zach Bryan Brings Out The War And Treaty For Live "Hey Driver": Several months back, Zach Bryan invited The War And Treaty to join him on his self-titled album for the song "Hey Driver." Monday night, Bryan's fans got a pleasant surprise when the duo joined Zach on stage to do the song live at the Capital One Arena in Washington DC. For Tanya Trotter of The War And Treaty, it was a hometown show and therefore a huge deal. While the crowd sang every word (loudly), you can still hear what makes this song a special duet.
Kenny Chesney Explains Why He Treks To The Nosebleed Seats Before Every Show: Kenny Chesney was on the "Sunday Sitdown" for the "Today" show when he explained why, before every concert, he treks up to the furthest reaches of the venue and looks around. "On a Friday after soundcheck I'll go to the very top and just sit, just, by myself," Kenny says, saying it's a way for him to emotionally and mentally measure how far it is from there to the stage. "If I'm going to get close to connecting with these people, I gotta have their perspective....and just taking a moment to reflect and remember how grateful I am to be there."
Willie Nelson's July 4th Picnic Moves To Philadelphia: Willie Nelson's legend-laden "July 4th Picnic" is moving. This year, for the first time ever, the annual event will take place in Philadelphia. Well, close by. The event will take place at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, a stone's throw from the Philly skyline. In a statement, Willie said, "I am thrilled to bring the 4th of July Picnic to Philadelphia for the first time in our storied history. It’s an honor to host such an extraordinary lineup of talent in the birthplace of our country. We can’t wait to celebrate Independence Day with you." The lineup is top shelf: Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss, Maren Morris, Mavis Staples and Celisse. The very first Picnic was held July 4th, 1973, and, until this year, has been held in Texas annually except for the pandemic years of 2020-2021.
Oliver Anthony Announces Charitable Easter Sunday Concert: Oliver Anthony is heading home - or close to home - Easter Sunday for a benefit concert. The special concert at Hopewell, Virginia’s historic Beacon Theatre is about 70 miles from his hometown of Farmville. All ticket sales from Sunday's show will go to the local Beacon Hill Church’s food outreach program. "While we were in Europe, my guitarist Joey was telling us he read about a church in Hopewell (where we both have family from) that was facing backlash from city officials for feeding the homeless. Coincidentally, I had decided about a month prior that we would do a gospel show at The Beacon Theatre on Easter Sunday, which happened to be in the same city the church was based out of," Anthony says. "It was decided that we would play the show for charity, and donate every dollar to help that church fight the city. After doing some digging, we realized that the church actually uses the same theater for their Sunday service, on the exact same stage we would be playing on Easter Sunday evening. As many know, I accepted Jesus into my life in the summer of 2023. I have not stepped foot in a church in over 10 years, but the churches I used to go to didn’t care the way this one does. They are selflessly serving their city, and they deserve all the help they can get." Fans who would like to support Beacon Hill Church’s food outreach program but are unable to attend can donate via PayPal with the notation "Unsheltered."
