Terri Clark Announces Duets Album "Take Two": It's been a minute since Terri Clark has been a presence on country radio, but she's still in the game, and the next time she takes the field, she's bringing an all-star team with her. Clark has announced her next album will be a duets album. "Take Two" will feature Clark and a "who's who" of the latest generation of country stars: Cody Johnson, Lainey Wilson, Ashley McBryde, Lauren Alaina, Kelly Clarkson and Carly Pearce all join the Canadian star, with McBryde featuring on the first song released from the project, an update on Clark's 1995 hit "Better Things To Do." "Take Two" drops May 31.
Toby Keith's Final Recording Is On Hardy's "Hixtape" Version Of "Ships That Don't Come In": It's fitting: the last song recorded by Toby Keith before his passing February 5 was a collaboration with Hardy, Luke Combs and the late Joe Diffie on the reflective, bittersweet Diffie classic "Ships That Don't Come In." The song was recorded shortly before Toby's final three shows in Las Vegas in mid-December and is included on the Diffie tribute album "Hixtape Vol 3: Difftape," which was released Friday.
Dolly Loves Beyonce's "Jolene": So now that Beyonce's "Act II: Cowboy Carter" dropped like a bomb last Friday, the big question on a lot of minds is: what does Dolly Parton think of Beyonce's take on her classic "Jolene?" If Dolly's enthusiastic post on her socials is any indication, she's totally Team Beyonce. "Wow, I just heard Jolene,” Parton posted on Instagram Friday afternoon. "Beyoncé is giving that girl some trouble and she deserves it!" She signs the message, "Love, Dolly P." So, listeners may be split on the updated version of the country classic, but Dolly's definitely digging it.
