It's always interesting to find out who influences today's country artists. For some it's traditional country artists; for others, they grew up listening to more rock and pop and found their way to country. Corey Kent is a little of both.

Talking to "Hot Country" recently, they asked him: who are your top three artists you listen to? Kent had already admitted he grew up looking at the world through a "country lens," coming from the small town of Bixby, Oklahoma - but he also admits to loving new and classic rock. So who are his big three? Eric Church, Kings Of Leon and Turnpike Troubadours. His taste seems to run towards the more "authentic," and that's no surprise; he also casually dropped the fact that he found his way on stage with Willie Nelson when he was just 16 years old. No details were given, but it's safe to say that if his career path wasn't already planned by that point, that did it.
