CODY JOHNSON CONFIRMS NEW SINGLE "THE PAINTER," ON THE WAY

Cody Johnson has been teasing new music for a while now - but the long wait is almost over. In an interview with iHeart Radio, Cody revealed that the first new music from the project is coming out in just a couple weeks.
"So August 14th, we have a new single going to radio, it’s called 'The Painter,'" Cody revealed - from his upcoming 24-track album titled "Leather" - but that wasn't the only bit of news.
"This fall, I’m not sure if it will be November or December, the first part of my deluxe album will come out, and I’ve been secretly behind everybody’s back recording a 24-track deluxe album." That deluxe album is a straight-up tribute to "cowboy music" called "The Cowboy Sessions" - cover versions of songs by Marty Robbins, George Strait, Willie Nelson and more. And he further revealed that he envisions recording albums in a variety of genres - "But in my future, I think a bluegrass album, I think a gospel album, give you really fun full-blown rock album…" By our count that's at least five albums on the way from Johnson - news that fans are sure to love hearing.
