Carrie Underwood Releases New Single, Gives Health Update

Carrie Underwood debuted her brand new single this morning, and she’s now revealed some more info about the tune.  In a message posted on her fan club website, Carrie reveals that the track is called “Cry Pretty,” and says it’s about when “emotions take over and you just can’t hold them back.”

"It really speaks to a lot of things that have happened in the past year and I hope when you hear it, you can relate those feelings to those times in your life," she wrote. "It’s emotional. It’s real. And it ROCKS!"

Carrie also gave fans an update about her health. “My wrist is almost back to normal, about 90% there…and the docs say that last 10% will come in time,” she explains. “And my face has been healing pretty nicely as well."

Carrie is set to sing “Cry Pretty” for the first time on Sunday’s ACM Awards.
