Sure, she may “Cry Pretty” these days, but Carrie Underwood has never made a secret of where her heart lies: putting good stuff into the world. A devout Christian, Carrie has always been pretty vocal about wanting people to be kinder and gentler – heck – she’s vegan!
But seriously, Carrie’s had about enough of the ugly in the world and in her new song, “Love Wins,” she’s hoping that more people will get their heads together. “I do think that we as humans are inherently good and we need to remember that,” she explains. “Because we’re different, that doesn’t make somebody else bad, it just makes us different.”
And if you’re really not sure what she means – consider this lyric: “Politics and prejudice, how the hell’d it ever come to this.” Word.
